Like many professional cameras, speedlites seem to be getting bigger, so it’s a huge relief to see the new i40 flash system from Nissin totally buck that trend.

With a guide number of 40 it’s clearly not going to be the most powerful flash you can buy, but in terms of portability it has to be worth considering, especially if you’re also thinking about converting to mirrorless cameras for similarly reduced size and weight. Continue reading
